Lynch's framework of the 8 Learning Management Questions (8LMQs), has been used to guide the learning manager (LM). Lynch and Smith (2006) say this framework is said to produce pedagogical strategies that have the capabilities to accomplish learning outcomes for learners. Using the three phases of the LMP the class was profiled determining what needed to be included and how the lessons would be sequenced, delivered and assessed.


LMQ1 – What does my learner already know?
  • Students know they have a family
  • Students know they belong in their school
  • Students know it is nice to share with friends and family
  • Students know there are consequences if someone does the wrong thing
  • Students know their family loves them
  • Students know their classmates look out for them
  • Students know they need water as a basic need
  • Students have used the following ICT tools: PowerPoint, Photostory, Paint, Kids Pix, Publisher, Prezi and iPods.

  • The LM will facilitate and guide the lesson, supply stimulus materials and resources
